My daughter, when she was in 4th Grade, at 9 years old, earned the title of being the Accelerated Reader Queen for the School Year 2015-2016. The award was given at the start of this year because it took them quite a white to tally the points so the awarding was kinda delayed. Nevertheless, it is something very welcomed by the recipient and us parents so thank you so much, Keene Adventist Elementary School for the recognition and the award!
It is such a blessing to have a child who don’t need to be scolded so she would read. As a matter of fact, I am the one that would often reprimand her for not taking a pause from reading. Having said that, she so deserves this award for being so voracious when it comes to books. She truly reaped something she have a pleasure in doing.
Being in 5th Grade now, her read books continue to pile up and although she’ll not be a part of the AR Reading activity for this year anymore, I hope she will continue to bring home more academic awards in the coming days. As a parent, there is nothing more fulfilling that seeing your child succeed in school, bringing home an award is one of them.
